It is a wicked ass burp gun that shoots gobs of 7.62x25 VERY fast in its original Soviet configuration.you would need a class III FFL for that gun.I am not aware of a semi auto version myself, but i wouldnt be surprised if one existed. I have heard of some 9mm conversions by the Finns (Suomi) , let me know if you can get a semi auto version.

I can't speak to the PPSh-41.

But MGS had now had their fourth iteration of the PPS-43 (later stamped steel design for the PPSh-41) approved by the BATFE. The previous three had design issues that required their owners to return them for 'corrections'.

The UP side is MGS give you a lifetime warranty.

The DOWN side is that both of these rifles are 'open bolt' full machine guns that have been 'modified' to shoot semi-auto, which neither of them were designed to do. So basically MGS is redesigning (or perhaps designing if you wish) a completely new weapon. Drilling a hole all the way through the bolt and installing a firing pin. Then they remove the old fire control group and replace it with one that will ONLY shoot semi-auto.

Not a small task by anyone's imagination. I've seen the results of their work. While it looks nice, I'm not sure I would spend that amount of money just because of the cheap ammo and the cheap mags.

For that kind of money, you could purchase a Taurus/Rossi revolver and a Puma lever action rifle in either .357 mag or .44 mag - ok the ammo is no where near as cheap as the 7.62x25 stuff.

But the day of inexpensive firearms and ammo is now gone. At least for the next four years. Or until we have some kind of world shaking event. After that, who knows what will occur?

I'd find other places for my money. And I OWN several CZ-52's and want a PPS-43 really badly. But not enough to spend the money on an unproven design, which both the PPSh-41 and the PPS-43 are.

Now, if you can legally acquire a full auto PPSh-41 or PPS-43, by all means, jump all over it. It will definitely be a good investment. But I'm unaware of any of them being for sale here in the USA.

I have the PPS-43 (SMG's latest version) but have yet to fire it.

They suck. I don't want the competition driving up the prices.
